Handmade Rosaries from roses collected from altars of our Blessed Mother!
St. Dominic’s Rosaries Ministry was formed September 2021, with the blessing, encouragement and approval of the Very Rev. Joshua Caswell. The devotion of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius towards the Restoration of the Sacred has profoundly inspired our hearts, leading us to the practice of the handmade rose petal rosaries.
Compelled by flames of a divine desire, with the mentorship of the Discalced Carmelites of Des Plaines, a mission to support the Seminaries Formation Fund came into being. Our goal is to grant a full tuition for a Seminarian of The Canons Regular.
Fr. Joshua continues to help drive our best-efforts fostering St. Dominic’s Rosary Ministry. His entrustment of the opportunity to humbly serve, especially in support of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius is a precious gift that we cherish immensely.
Our roses were collected from the altar of St. John Cantius Church and the altars of our Blessed Mother Mary across Chicagoland. These precious petals serve as the touchstone through which blooms the beads of each handmade rosary. Our Rosary Ministry also has grown to restore the habit rosaries of the Canons as well as preserving and rebuilding all rosaries.
We joyfully invite you to come and experience this community of faithful and devoted volunteers. We meet every Wednesday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in The Café. Please join us as often as you can, we are a cheerful band of bead rollers and wire benders.
Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions and for information concerning St. Dominic’s Rosaries, classes, volunteering and events at stdominicsrosaries@gmail.com.
We encourage you to carry the flame of this devotion and practice in your heart, embracing the daily recitation of the Rosary, guided by the words of St. Dominic: “One day, through the Rosary and the Scapular, Our Lady will save the world.”
